- There were 31 novels and 11 novellas.
- There were 9 non-fiction works.
- There were 12 works by Australian authors, followed by 11 works by American authors and 8 from Japan.
- A combined average satisfaction rating of 7.5 out of a possible 10.0.
- An average of 266 pages per work.
- Haruki Murakami was the most read author with 6 works, 5 novels and 1 novella.
- Books that scored a 10.0 were: The Turning, The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Waterland, Last Orders, Theft: A Love Story and Underground: The Tokyo Gas Attack and the Japanese Psyche.
- Books that scored under 5.0 were: Homage to Catalonia, Jacob’s Room, Shuttlecock, To A God Unknown and Snow Country.
- Graham Swift (Waterland, Last Orders and Shuttlecock) appears on both top and bottom lists.
- Based on the average of authors who appear multiple times since 2006, Haruki Murakami has the highest satisfaction rating with 9.0, closely followed by Peter Carey with 8.9.
