Matt’s Reading Log is the blog of Matthew Hancock, it is a site dedicated to his exploration of literature.

The log began in January 2006 and the blog was launched in October 2007. Check the statistics to chart its breadth, then dig deeper. The works are categorised into novels and novellas with posts that include plot summaries, cover art, links to additional information and short reviews to justify each ranking. If you would like to buy any of the books logged (or any others for that matter) visit the shopping portal.

Although the log is intended as a private record, should you stumble across it don’t hesitate to offer your thoughts, be it on a particular author or book. Also, be sure to make some recommendations.

There is also a section that goes beyond the log. This section includes news, views and links to issues of interest in the world of literature and quotes from authors featured in the log.

Matthew is also a regular contributor to Metro Magazine, a quarterly journal of essays and articles, reviews, interviews and analysis of Australian, New Zealand and Asian feature films, shorts and documentaries. It also covers television, radio, multimedia, animation, and new media. You can find the articles here.
